  • Defining and Avoiding Plagiarism:
    This seven page PDF file from The Council of Writing Program Administrators(WPA) discusses reasons for plagiarism and tips instructors may use to avoid it. Licensed through Creative Commons for duplication.

    University of Virginia's Plagiarism site offers free downloadable software that allows users to compare documents.
  • Turnitin
    Popular plagiarism detection service. They offer free trials for one month, up to 25 papers. Individual licenses are $150, which cover up to 150 reports for one year.
